Paul Michael Alindog's Fund
"The Most Inspiring Kid"

His Faith, Strength, Courage, Belief, Enthusiasm, Positive Attitude and Determination
is truly an inspiration.

Paul Alindog was originally diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis and Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor in 2001 while living in the Philippines with his mother Leoni and brother Mark. Paul's tumor was so big that it necessitated an amputation of his left arm and shoulder blade. Shortly thereafter, Paul and his mother, Leoni, came to California (Paul's birthplace) to find the special treatment necessary to fight Paul's cancer.

Paul has been treated at City of Hope since that time. He is a remarkable young man, who has endeared himself to people all over the place. Paul never let his illness stand in his way, never complained and makes no excuses. Throughout his treatment Paul has continued to be an outstanding student, athlete, singer, as well as a loyal friend to many, and son to Leoni. He has played basketball, baseball, Badminton and Golf, being successful at each despite having one arm. He has twice won "The Inspiring Student Of The Year Award" from the Long Beach Unified District, once in 2005 and again this year, 2007. And Just received the Highest Honor "Pursuit of Excellence" from Long Beach Polytechnic High School where Paul attended 9th grade.
It is a well deserved honor for Paul.

In April of 2007, Paul went to the baseball tryouts at his local baseball team. After rounding the basesfollowing a hit in tryouts, Paul told his mother that he need to go to the emergency room, because his having trouble breathing and not feeling good. There it was discovered that Paul has again relapsed with his disease. The tumor was found in his lungs and his right chest walls. Despite the fact and the extent of his relapse, and was able to run the bases is truly remarkable. He has once again entered treatment with his usual good cheer and determination. His treatment starts with chemotherapy that will continue for six months, with surgery and radiation.

Paul's mother Leoni, continues to struggle to support Paul financially and emotionally. She is also supporting Paul's brother Mark who continues to reside in the Philippines, and the greatest hope for this family is that they are soon able to be together again. The Talbert Foundation is a blessing to Paul and his Family, as they provide that helping hand in this difficult time.

Paul's family is sincerely grateful and thankful for all your support and your prayers.  Please consider making a donation to Paul and his family through the Talbert Family Foundation.
100% of the monies donated will be forward onto Paul Michael
