More about the Talbert Family Foundation
The CLASS Aquatic Swim Team Cancer Fund,
to benefit Ed Duncan

(Coach Kathie’s husband)

Welcome to the official fundraising site for Ed Duncan,
husband of our beloved “Coach Kathie.”

This site has been set up by friends and supporters of Kathie & Ed Duncan.

Ed was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,
is currently recovering from surgery and will soon be undergoing chemotherapy.

Please read this message from a parent of 2 of
Kathie’s swimmer:

My name is Kathy Clarke.  I have 2 daughters who have been swimming on the
CLASS Aquatic Swim Team since August of 2007.  In January of this year (2008) Kathie Duncan (Ed’s wife) came to swim practice and shared some distressing news with the parents of the swim team.  She had just learned that her husband had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Kathie, who has been a swim coach to local youth for over 25 years, has remained dedicated to her swimmers while she has been dealing with her husband’s medical crisis.  Even though I have only known Kathie for a short while, she has made such a huge impact on the lives of my daughters and myself that I feel compelled to do whatever I can to help her during these difficult times.

My sentiment is shared with the whole CLASS Aquatics Swim Team, which has led us to establish this Cancer Fund to benefit Ed Duncan.

More to come….
