Dave is a great and caring guy who has been struck down with cancer.

He has Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma type T-cell which is very aggressive. The main tumor is behind his heart but the cancer has spread rapidly into other parts of his body
including his spine.

Dave's treatment includes large doses of chemotherapy with lumbar punctures each week to inject chemo into the spine. He will shortly have radiation treatment for around the brain area. All these treatments come with a varying degree of pain and discomfort but Dave has been strong with his approach to all.

Dave is a firefighter who has a second job and works overtime when available. At the fire station Dave is a hard worker and is surely missed by all. His wife Allana also works but has missed time while supporting Dave who has obviously not been able to continue working whilst undergoing this intensive treatment.

He is also a passionate amateur triathlete and has competed in the sport for 19 years. He has represented his country twice in world championships and in 2005 came 11th in his age group in Honolulu Hawaii and was the first Aussie home. Also in 2005 he came in 5th place in age group, in the world duathlon championship, and in 2006 achieved 1st place in his age group for the Australian Longcourse. He has given his time freely to his friends and others in repairing and tuning their bikes and assisted them in training.

Dave is a Christian and any prayers of support are greatly appreciated.
He has a long treatment regime ahead.

Although a quiet and private person Dave is very caring and thoughtful to all around him, he finds it very hard to ask for help. Dave is the type of person to help others in need and now is the time for us to help him and Allana to get through this difficult period.
