Carl Bianco, a 40 year old father of 6 year old Brooke and husband to Trish. Brooke was the child Carl and Trish wanted when Carl was diagnosed 7 years ago with SLL, a Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and recently relapsed with CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. SLL and CLL are thought to be the same disease in diffent stages.

Carl was always an active athlete and we were shocked that this big, strong athletic guy was diagnosed with Lymphoma or SLL, just after running the L.A. Marathon at nearly 33 years old.

Carl went through 6 rounds of grueling Chemotherapy like a champ. He responded well and went into remission. SLL or CLL can be very slow moving or can change. Carl enjoyed the past 7 years. He and Trish got married and had their little girl, my Niece Brooke. Since then, Carl has been a hard working Dad and has enjoyed seeing Brooke grow.

Recently, Carl has relapsed with an aggressive form of CLL Leukemia, a cancer affecting the white blood cells. There has been a genetic change only seen in 5-10% of the cases. Chemotherapy will not work alone this time. Carl needs a Bone Marrow Transplant. Both his sister Melodie, and his brother Jimmy have been tested for a match unsuccessfully. Carl will now go into a national database with hopes to try and find a match.

Carl Bianco is a husband and a father. Currently, his doctors have put him on disability from his work due to his advancing condition. Carl and his family need your support. The Talbert Family Foundation is a wonderful organization that allows 100% of your donations to go directly to the families at a time when it is most needed.

Carl is an Uncle to Kevin Cordasco, a TFF Kid ongoing program,  and brother to Kevin's mom Melodie. Our family has been hit hard by Cancer in the past two years. It is the support of the Talbert Foundation, our family and the community that has been of tremendous help through this difficult time.
