You have reached the This past July 05, 2006, my father was diagnosed with Marginal B-cell Lymphoma, Stage 4. He has been disabled since he was diagnosed because his blood count dropped to 6.2 & white count has been under 1.7. Due to these abnormal lab values, he has required frequent visits to the doctor for Neupogen & Arinasp injections along with multiple blood transfusions at Glendale Memorial Hospital. He began chemotherapy in August 06 and developed an allergic reaction to the main drug: Rituxan. He became hypertensive and spiked a temperature. In the meantime, he is only able to receive Vincristine & Cytoxan. These two drugs are not potent enough to put him in remission. the only alternative we have is to improve his quality of life. My father has always been a hardworking & loving man who has dedicated his entire life to his family and his employment. He was a mechanic for many years and for the past 6 years has been working in the tool corral department for Home Depot. My mother has always been a housewife and now cares for my father full-time. She drives him to and from the office appointments, takes care of the billing, the groceries, laundry, meal preparation & the chores. My father has always been the sole provider. My siblings and I have contributed with the little that we have financially. I love my father and I am trying to help him in any possible way I can. He is my rock and I admire him greatly for his strength and fight against Lymphoma. Up to this day, he has never complained about anything. He has accepted his condition and trying to fight it all the way! His strength is his faith and his family. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. To
